Payson & Noli 2026 "Nature" Litter!

Born: July 8th 2026

Welcome to our Nature Litter!

This litter was thoughtfully planned with our program’s goals in mind: producing beautiful, well-rounded Golden Retrievers with wonderful temperaments, strong people connection, trainability, and the ability to become exceptional family companions.

Our puppies are raised using Puppy Culture and receive intentional age-appropriate socialization, handling, enrichment, exposure to everyday household experiences, grooming preparation, and early foundations designed to help them transition successfully into their new homes.

As the puppies grow, we don’t look at just one moment or one temperament test to determine who they are. We evaluate their personalities over time, including their energy level, confidence, people focus, independence, sensitivity, recovery, handling tolerance, engagement, and ability to settle.

Our goal is to understand who each puppy is becoming and find the home where that puppy is most likely to thrive.

Meet the Parents

Noli “Noli the Cannoli” — Mom

Noli is an incredibly special girl with a wonderful balance to her temperament. She has a medium drive, enjoys being part of family life, and lives in a home with three little girls.

She has the ability to participate and engage when something is happening while still being able to settle into everyday family life.

Noli has completed extensive genetic testing as well as her OFA health clearances.

She contributes the affectionate, family-oriented temperament and versatility that we value in our breeding program.

Papa Payson — Dad

Payson is one of the cornerstone males in our program and has an exceptional history of producing puppies with the temperament and trainability we look for.

His pedigree includes Swedish Dewmist lines within three generations, and he has produced numerous puppies that have gone on to service-dog work or service-dog training.

Payson has a loving, people-focused personality and brings qualities we value tremendously: connection with his people, trainability, stability, and the ability to be an enjoyable companion.

His OFA hip evaluation is Good, and he has completed the health and genetic testing required within our breeding program.

Meet the Nature Babies
Every puppy in this litter has developed their own personality. These descriptions are based on what we have repeatedly observed while raising them.

The Sweetheart With a Spicy Side

Energy Level: Low–Medium with a Good Off-Switch

Personality

Blossom is generally calm and mellow, but don’t mistake that sweetness for having no personality!

She has an adorable spicy side that comes out when she feels like showing it. One of her sweetest qualities is how much she enjoys affection—especially those wonderful neck cuddles.

She gives us a lovely combination of calmness, affection, and just enough sass to keep everyone smiling.

Ideal Home

Blossom would be a wonderful fit for a family looking for a generally easygoing, affectionate Golden with some playful personality.

She could fit nicely into many family lifestyles as long as she receives regular companionship, enrichment, and continued training.

Potential Fit:
Family Companion • Families With Children • Moderate-Activity Household • Cuddle-Loving Home • Potential Working/Training Prospect*

*Final suitability for specialized work is determined from the puppy’s complete evaluation rather than personality observations alone.

The Firecracker

Energy Level: Medium–High

Personality

Petunia is our little firecracker!

She’s playful, curious, energetic, and loves being involved in what’s happening around her. Petunia brings enthusiasm to life and has a fun personality that is hard to miss.

She’ll appreciate a family that enjoys interacting with their dog rather than expecting their Golden to simply hang out in the background.

Ideal Home

Petunia’s ideal family is active, involved, and excited about continuing training.

She would benefit from regular physical activity combined with mental enrichment, adventures, training sessions, and plenty of interaction with her people.

She is best suited for someone specifically wanting a Golden with a little more energy, enthusiasm, and personality.

Potential Fit:
Active Family • Adventure Companion • Training-Oriented Home • Experienced or Engaged Dog Owner

Personality

Bonsai is brave, confident, and sometimes seems convinced he’s much smaller and lighter than he actually is!

He approaches life with enthusiasm and isn’t afraid to get involved. He’s the kind of puppy whose confidence and personality make him memorable.

Bonsai enjoys exploring and participating in what’s happening around him.

Ideal Home

Bonsai would be well suited to a family wanting a confident, outgoing Golden who can participate in everyday adventures.

He’ll benefit from continued manners training as he grows into a full-sized Golden Retriever—especially since he may continue believing he’s a lap-sized puppy!

Potential Fit:
Family Companion • Active Family • Adventure Home • Training-Oriented Family

Little Brother With a Mind of His Own

Energy Level: Medium

Personality

Aspen is our little brother with spunk!

He has personality, confidence, and an independent streak. Aspen isn’t afraid to have his own opinion about what he would like to be doing.

That independence makes him entertaining, but it also means he’ll benefit from a family that enjoys training and understands the importance of consistency.

Ideal Home

Aspen would thrive with a confident, engaged family willing to provide structure and continue his training.

He’ll likely enjoy having things to do and opportunities to engage his brain while still getting plenty of family time.

Potential Fit:
Family Companion • Training-Focused Family • Moderately Active Home • Experienced Dog Owner

The Snuggler

Energy Level: Low

Personality

Marigold is our little snuggler. She has a softer, more relaxed personality and genuinely enjoys being close to her people.

She isn’t the puppy who always needs to be in the middle of the action. She’s happiest when she can enjoy her surroundings, spend time with her people, and settle in for some affection.

Ideal Home

Marigold would be best suited to a calmer household looking for an affectionate companion.

She may be an especially nice match for someone who values cuddling, companionship, and a puppy with a naturally lower energy level rather than a constantly on-the-go lifestyle.

Potential Fit:
Family Companion • Quieter Household • Lower-Activity Home • Companion-Focused Family

• Potential Working/Training Prospect*

*Final suitability for specialized work is determined from the puppy’s complete evaluation rather than personality observations alone.

The Thinker

Energy Level: Medium with a Good Off-Switch

Personality

Clover is smart and observant.

He’s often taking everything in before deciding what he’s going to do. He enjoys relaxing and cuddling with his people—but when it’s time to play, that boy can RUN!

One of our favorite things about Clover is how quickly he can go from playing hard to completely asleep.

That combination of engagement and ability to settle is something we really appreciate in a Golden Retriever.

Ideal Home

Clover could be a wonderful match for a family looking for a versatile companion who enjoys activity but can also settle into family life.

A family interested in training and giving him opportunities to use his brain may especially enjoy him.

Potential Fit:
Family Companion • Training-Oriented Home • Moderate-Activity Family • Potential Working/Training Prospect*

*Final suitability for specialized work is determined from the puppy’s complete evaluation rather than personality observations alone.

How We Match Our Puppies

We believe choosing a puppy should be about much more than which puppy is the cutest or which puppy runs into someone’s lap first.

Before placement, we consider each family’s:

  • Household and family members

  • Children and other pets

  • Daily routine

  • Activity level

  • Previous dog experience

  • Training goals

  • Desired energy level

  • Desired temperament

  • Expectations for their adult Golden Retriever

We then compare those needs with what we have learned about each puppy through weeks of observation, Puppy Culture development and socialization, handling, enrichment, early training, and temperament evaluation.

Temperament testing gives us another valuable snapshot of a puppy on that particular day, but no single test defines a puppy or guarantees what that puppy will become as an adult.

Our goal isn’t simply to help you choose a puppy.

Our goal is to help you find the puppy who fits your life.
